Here is Merritt House on Google StreetView. We are the cream coloured house, with the picnic bench in the front garden, and the blue sign outside. The B&B was called 'Charnwood' when the Google StreetView car visited the area, but when you arrive outside, you will see a blue 'Merritt House' sign!

By Road:

Follow signs for Torquay, then to Torquay Seafront, and then to Paignton seafront. From Esplanade Road along Paignton seafront, turn right into Torbay Road, opposite the cinema. Take the first turning on the left into Queens Road. Merritt House is three quarters of the way along Queens Road, past the sports field, on the right-hand side (7 Queens Road).

By Train

Frequent train services run from London Paddington to Paignton, changing at either Newton Abbott (about 2 hrs 40 minutes) or at Exeter St Davids (about 3 hours). We are a very short walk from Paignton Station. Come out of the station and turn right onto Torbay Road, and walk along and take the third road on the right, which is Queens Road. Walk past the sports field on the right, and about three quarters of the way along you will find Merritt House on the right (7 Queens Road).

Parking at Merritt House:

There are four car parking spaces at the rear of Merritt House, available on a first come first served basis. We recommend that you reverse into these spaces, and be prepared to take a couple of turns to get in. Please do take care when you park, both to avoid any unwanted scrapes, and to ensure that other guests' spaces are not blocked.

Off-Site Parking:

There are also a number of off-site parking options available:

• Parking is unrestricted along Queens Road, at the front of Merritt House. These spaces are not guaranteed at busy times.

• There are pay to park spaces in the first half of Queens Road, which are often available late afternoon onwards. Parking in these spaces is limited to two hours during the day, but is free between 6.00 in the evening and 8.00 in the morning. A further two hours of parking can be purchased for £2 to cover up to 10.00am.
   
• Roundham Car Park is about a minute's drive from Merritt House. Turn left out of Queens Road into Sands Road, and then right at the mini-roundabout into Roundham Road, following the blue 'P' signs all the way. Then turn left into Cliff Road just past the harbour. Keep left, and Roundham Car Park is on the left, just a very few minutes walk back to Merritt House. Night time parking is £1.60 between 7.00pm and 10.00am.
   
• Victoria Car Park is about a couple of minutes drive away. Turn left out of Queens Road into Sands Road, and then left at the mini-roundabout into Esplanade Road, again following the blue 'P' signs. Take the second left into Torbay Road, and then the first right into Garfield Road. Victoria Car Park is just at the end, and you can walk directly back along Garfield Road and across into Queens Road. Night time parking is £1.60 between 7.00pm and 10.00am.
